Interior designers and architects know the difference is in the details. The materials you choose, the wayfinding touches, the tactile moments people notice as they move through a space — those are the elements that turn a building into an experience.
Recently, evright was proud to support a standout South Australian project delivered with Arketype and Kennett Builders, contributing laser-engraved feature elements and opening plaques that help bring the building’s identity to life.
The brief: precision, consistency, and respect for the artwork
The project called for a large run of cork tiles featuring Aboriginal artwork — a finish that needed to be crisp, consistent, and carefully produced across a high volume.
Our team laser engraved over 250 cork tiles, ensuring the artwork translated cleanly onto the material while maintaining a consistent look from tile to tile. When you’re working at this scale, quality control matters: every tile needs to match the design intent, and every engraved line needs to feel deliberate.
Why laser engraving works so well for architectural finishes
For designers, laser engraving is a powerful option when you want detail without adding visual clutter. It can deliver:
Fine-line precision for artwork and patterns
Repeatability across large production runs
A premium, tactile finish that holds up in real spaces
Clean results on materials like cork, timber, acrylic, and more
It’s also a practical way to keep the design language consistent across multiple touchpoints — from feature tiles to signage elements.
Opening plaques: a lasting marker for a milestone
Alongside the tile work, we also produced opening plaques for the project — a simple but important piece of the story. An opening plaque isn’t just a formality; it’s a permanent marker of the people, partners, and purpose behind a build.
We worked to ensure the plaques aligned with the overall look and feel of the development, with a clean, professional finish suitable for a high-traffic environment.

Partnering with designers, architects, and builders
evright is known for awards and trophies — and we still love creating beautiful recognition pieces.
But projects like this are a reminder that our capability goes well beyond trophies. We support the built environment with laser-based production that helps designers execute their vision, whether that’s feature elements, plaques, signage, or custom components.
If you’ve been searching for a trophy store near me or the best trophy store Adelaide has to offer, you might be surprised by how often our workshop supports architectural and interior projects too.
